After the announcement of last week's Team Captains for the ESL Halo Master Chief Collection Launch Invitational, ESL have announced that the team's rosters have been finalised. There aren't many surprises, the return of some of Halo 2's veterans, household names and current competitors will all be fighting it out in Southern California for their share of $50,000. Amongst the competitors are Europe's own top dogs TCM consisting of Riotz (c), Ramirez, TuFoxy and Chalkie will desperately trying to walk away with a first place prize of $20,000 and cement their place at the top.

Just when you thought the guys over at 343 industries couldn't give fans of the Halo franchise any more, they have today revealed to IGN that four different armour permutations will be available to be unlocked in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

IGN have reported that the armour sets will be unlocked as part of a reward for players completing specific achievements and once unlocked for the beta, the armour will be available for use in the full game of Halo 5: Guardians.

Looking for something to fill in the time until the 11th? Well hopefully this can smooth out the rough wait on our hands!

Released today on Xbox.com, Xbox one and Xbox 360 is the behind the scenes documentary called 'Remaking the legend, Halo 2: Anniversary'. In it we get an in depth look at how 343i took Bungie's classic rendition, and fine tuned it for the current generation of consoles, with appearances from key people who worked on the game such as Keith David, Steve Vai and Frank O'Connor. Also key people from Xbox, such as Phil Spencer and Larry Hryb, also known as MajorNelson.

IGN have released details on what to expect when you're trying to hit that 50 when H:MCC drops on November 11th.

"Each playlist within Halo: The Master Chief Collection uses an independent skill-based ranking system that is identical to the leveling system from the original Halo 2," the studio told IGN. "The system uses the same exact XP requirements as the original Halo 2; players will earn XP when they win and lose XP when they lose, and total XP will determine their rank. You will have a skill-based ranking per each playlist; we ultimately decided not to have a 'master' ranking across all four games combined, given that player skill and approach varies radically between game chapters.

Released today is a glorious peek at the cinematics that are going to be driving the narrative of Halo 2 Anniversary.

Made by Blur animation studios, known for achieving fame by making all the space sequences in James Cameron's blockbuster "Avatar", and producing the trailers for "Star Wars: TOR" and "The Force Unleashed II". The trailer shows memorable scenes that we know and recognise, with upgraded visuals to compliment the anniversary treatment.

Keeping up with the announcements coming out of IGN's coverage everything about the Master Chief Collection in the lead up to it's release date, today they have decided to take a closer look at the forge mode that will accompany Halo 2 Anniversary, and give us a few reasons why we should be excited.

In the video from IGN, we're given a quick run through of what we're able to achieve with the greater power from the Xbox One, enabling players to create their own geometry. This means that forge maps will be even more immersive and creative, giving players the opportunity to create the landscape they want.

Following the much anticipated release of Halo: Master Chief Collection, we've seen numerous global esports companies around the world attempting to grab a slice of the Halo cake.

Popular tournament organiser Gfinity, who have previously organised 3 major events and handed out hundreds of thousands in prize money, have confirmed that they are holding 16 team Halo 2 Anniversary tournament in Kingston Upon Thames, London on the 29th-30th of November.

The event organisers are also known for their Gfinity online website - which gives away £30,000 in prize money every month, uniting competitive players across the world.

As previously mentioned in this post, on November the 8th-9th, 343i and ESL will be inviting 32 players to go to ESL's headquarters in California to battle it out for a total of $50,000 in prizes and the chance to be the first people to play the Halo 5 Guardians Multiplayer Beta.

In 343i's latest bulletin, they have announced the captains that they have chosen for this tournament. The captains now have one week to choose three teammates to join them as they battle it out in California.
